Sailing for the Science

The German sports student, Jan Plagmann, choosed a uncommon topic for his diploma thesis: the group dynamics within the crew – on a transatlantic trip.
You don’t have often the chance, to study 8 persons, isolated for 3 weeks. But I think, you don’t have often the chance to go sailing for weeks in the name of the scienceđŸ™‚ However, a great idea.

The findings – as reported by a german magazine: the sentiment was good, and in storms, the cohension of the team grew. In summary, they’ve been “a really cool team”.
